When we arrived in Kibale, we were warned to keep our doors closed and locked, and to not put any food in the trash cans. Baboons are around, and they like to raid the trash and will go into your rooms and find the chocolate and hobnobs (excellent oat cookies you can get!) you were saving for a rainy day. Sure enough, baboons ended up in unlocked rooms and were spotted pilfering our trash! Despite this, they were amazing creatures to see up close and personal. If you ever walk into your room to find a baboon inside, don't corner it. They have massive incisors and are not afraid to use them!
