So, we pile onto what will become our second home (after our tents) and head off for Kibale National Park on the western side of Uganda, near the Democratic Republic of Congo. I staked out a spot on the low back truck. Many of us quickly developed a preference for one truck or the other. Good luck kicking me out of my spot! Though it was the dry season, the roads were muddy from recent rains, and one of the truck ended up in a rut just outside the gates of Kibale. However, with the help of our crew and metal grates, we made it through the gates of Kibale National Park.
